hide has been interested in the internet since the days when personal computers were not yet in common use.
He obtained a Mac, of which there were only a few in Japan at the time, and in 1996, he set up his own homepage to send out messages and information, create CG, and use e-mail for work and communication with his fans. He foresaw that the "Internet" would change the world.

If such a hide existed today, he would surely have been interested in NFT and would have disseminated various works.

The hide NFT project was started by the team that has been managing the official hide website and disseminating diverse hide digital contents.

The hide NFT project will transmit hide, an artist who is always innovative and full of originality, to a wider audience around the world through NFT.

The hide NFT Project will transmit digital works based on photographs by world-renowned photographer Hideo Canno.In addition, we plan to release various contents including valuable items created by hide himself in the future.

About Product

The hide NFT project offers "NFT digital cards" which transmit hide's worldview in card form, and "NFT digital art" which expresses hide's appeal in a more artistic way.

hide NFT Digital Card No.003

2023 marks the 30th anniversary of hide's solo debut and the 25th anniversary of his death.

While numerous projects have been launched under the title of “hide Memorial Day 2023”, we will release "hide NFT Digital Card No.003" on May 2, the anniversary of hide's death, which is a new work from "hide NFT PROJECT" that started in 2022.

This is the third work from the Digital Card series with the rare photographs taken during "Last Session", which is the last shoot with Hideo Canno, the photographer who has been taking hide's photos.

This photo was taken at his last photo session before his death on April 29, 1998, after he returned from L.A. for a promotion.

In 1998, hide with Spread Beaver has started.

A tight schedule was set, which included the release of their third album "Ja, Zoo," a nationwide tour for promoting it, and performances at summer festivals. According to Mr. Canno, hide was happily talking about his schedules during the photo shoot.

hide, who had just returned from L.A. that day, appeared on stage and we started the last photo session.

As it had been a while since my last magazine shoot, I hoped to photograph hide from a new angle.

So, with the purpose of boosting his playfulness, I challenged myself to shoot him using a large 8 x 10 camera for the first time.

This camera does not shoot rhythmically, but rather requires a photographic technique in which the shutter is carefully focused on each shot,It was a challenge but hide took it all in his stride.

We put our souls into each and every shot.

And, contrary to the cut that was going to be on the cover of the magazine, this was the exact opposite,

The shot taken at the moment he let out a breath was the last one with hide.

Hideo Canno (CAPS)

On May 2, 1998, hide has sadly passed away.

To hide's relatives who were bewildered by his sudden departure, Hideo Canno presented a photo frame with a pure white feather laid on a clear acrylic and this photo of hide in the center, hoping to heal their wounds as much as possible.

Using this episode as a motif, this work is a warm, creative work with beautifully dancing feathers and gently shining light, reflecting the hide that continues to sparkle and shine within us all.

We sincerely hope that everyone who picks up this NFT work will have the courage and hope to "Spread your wings and fly away”.

About “hide”

X JAPAN's guitarist "HIDE", who created a legend in the history of Japanese rock music, and solo artist "hide", who released masterpieces such as "ROCKET DIVE" and "Pink Spider", have created a new culture of "Visual-kei" with their unique fashion and makeup.
